Alphington Jets were totally outplayed in the first half against an excellent Newton side that played some great football. Newton applied all the early pressure, but Alphington took the lead when, the hard working Charlie Khan robbed the defender and saw his cross/shot fly off a defender over the keepers head. Newton equalised 2 minutes later when Owen Smea side footed home whilst the defence were hesitating. Matt Finlake and James Wright both drilled shots into the top corner, that keeper Jack Bunclark could only watch and admire. The second half started the same way and Newton deservedly went 4-1 up when Brandon Stent cooly slotted home from 8 yards. The Jets then had their best period of play when Olly Johnson just shot wide, before Tony Hutchins fired home from the edge of the box. Dan Prout made it 4-3 when he made no mistake when through 1 on 1. The game was now end to end with both teams coming close to further goals. Captain Ben Rooke was again excellent in defence for the Jets, with George,Bradley and Joe all supporting him well. 

MAN OF THE MATCH BEN ROOKE

One of the last teams Dawlish would choose to play with two key players absent is Exwick and within five minutes, it was obvious why as the home team scored two early goals and completely dominated the opening period. 

Stand in goalkeeper Nick Langley-Pope bravely tried to repel the onslaught as the makeshift defence in front of him battled against a high quality attack. Dawlish had conceded a third before Jack Wills gave the visitors a glimmer of hope with a neat finish following an excellent break by Jamie Middleton. However it was 4-1 before they created another opportunity, this time good work by Tommy Saint set up Middleton but his effort was comfortably saved. 

Dawlish worked hard to try and get to grips with their opponents with Max Armitage in particular tackling strongly and covering every blade of grass, however as United started to push forward they left gaps in their defence and the home side grabbed a fifth just before half time as they broke through the middle. 

To their credit Dawlish continued to battle in the second half with keeper Langley-Pope providing constant encouragement and his excellent kicking helped relieve the pressure.  Despite conceding a sixth from a corner United strived to reduce the deficit with Wills and Middleton both having long range efforts go wide. Man of the match Armitage continued his good work of the first half however it was not enough to deny the home side as they scored two late goals to complete the scoring and but for a fine save by Langley-Pope at the feet of an on rushing striker the score would have been worse.

Despite muddy conditions, both sides fought well with Dawlish being the stronger side during the first half. The Dawlish players showed some excellent team play with great long balls into the area from Matty Ranger, some nifty footwork from Max Armitage and some great team spirit from the rest of the players. 

After an excellent ball crossed in by Matty Ranger, knocked on by hardworking Cody Rackley, Max Armitage put the ball in the back of the net! At half time, the home side were one goal up.

Second half, saw St Martin's come out fighting but with a great mid field partnership between Jack Arnold and Max Armitage, the visitors had their work cut out. After a good run, Jamie Middleton, helped by his fellow team members, was unlucky not to score. 

Due to some good defensive play by Nathan Rowland, St Martin's were still unable to score. St Martin's were again denied a goal thanks to the solid defensive play by Man of the Match, Cody Rackley and Sam Wright. 

After some determined play, St Martin's were awarded a penalty but without luck on their side, they blast the ball wide off the outside of the post. 

Keeper, Harvey Hannaford saw little of the ball throughout the game only to be called upon a couple of times to make some comfortable saves. 

Dawlish continued to play well to the finish and were rewarded with the victory they deserved.

On a heavy pitch, both teams tried to play some good football. Twyford were dangerous from a few well delivered corners. Olly Johnson kept up his great form by forcing a good save from the Twyford keeper. Charlie Ewart hit the post for the Jets, before the lively Dan Prout curled one over the keeper after some good work from Charlie Khan. Another great pass from Charlie Khan set up man of the meatch Charlie Ewart to score the first of his brace to make it 2-0 at half time. The Jets defence of captain Ben Rooke, George Hunt and Bradley Wilkie kept Twyford at bay, with Ben Clancy again doing well in goal on his 2nd outing.

Will Bentley had a great run at the beginning of the second half. Twyford continued to play good football and were unlucky not to score, but 2nd half sub keeper Jack Bunclark was equal to anything thrown at him. The inclusion of Joe Holmes, Luke Bradford and Tony Hutchins led to a great passing move that Charlie Ewart cooly slotted home when in on goal. Charlie Hart came on to bolster the defence for the Jets. The last 10 minutes of the game resulted in Twyford's never say die attitude being well rewarded when Lewis Hill scored from 15 yards.
