Winners of the two groups will play each other in the final
Final - Sunday 16th May St James Park - ECFC

Plate Competition Rules
All matches are 10 minutes in duration one way no half time. Normal football rules (for your age group) apply. Points system same as leagues. The top two sides of the group will go through to finals day and contest Plate Final. If there is no clear winners of group i.e. in the unlikely event that the top three were to tie (more likely to be second and third placed teams) on points, goal difference, goals for, then result between teams will be decider. If this was a draw then normal penalty routine, 5 penalties each (penalty takers must be on the playing pitch at end of last game), then sudden death if no winner found (remaining players are to be used before the first 5 takers can be used again, this includes goalkeeper) until a winner is found.
While we accept that there is not a lot of rest time between games and that some teams will play consecutive games, this is unfortunate and can't be helped but it is the same for all sides concerned and we only have limited time, so to assist with the timings: Teams must be ready to go onto the correct pitch 5 minutes before start times and Managers are reminded that ALL TEAM TALKS must take place off the pitch, Referees will tell Managers to move to pitch side if they are giving a team talk on the pitch. Once again this is because we have limited time with the pitches. In a colour clash all teams must bring with them colour bibs (different colour to their kit) the away team are to wear bibs. Yellow & Red Cards: If these are issued by the referee as a league we would expect them to sent onto the County FA for normal processing, in the event of a red card the player will take no further part in the competition, the players name would be noted by the league and they would forgo a place in the plate final. The Players and Managers are warned, if you want to play in the final (Players) or have a full squad for the final (Managers) ensure you don't have your name / players name taken by the referee. |
