The sun was shining on a dry morning as Heavitree were hosts to Pinhoe Gladiators.

Both teams started well and for the first 5 minutes it looked as though it could be a close game but on the stroke of 6 minutes, up popped Liam Gallagher with a glancing header to put the ball passed the Pinhoe keeper (1-0). Heavitree continued to pressure and with 12 minutes on the clock Matty Burrough made it (2-0) with a cool finish.

More of the same from Heavitree and 19 minutes gone Josh Jays (JJ) made it (3-0) with a fine finish under the Pinhoe keeper.

21 minutes gone and Liam Gallagher gets pushed in the back in the penalty box "Ref gives a penalty" Liam steps up and strikes but the Pinhoe keeper guesses the right way and manages to save.

With half time approaching Matty Burrough comes up with a fantastic strike from outside the box and puts it in the top corner leaving the Pinhoe keeper no chance of getting near it (4-0).

The second half started much like the first with all the pressure coming from the home team and within 8 minutes Heavitree were (5-0) up through Josh Jays, then after 12 minutes another from Josh Jays making it (6-0). Heavitree were playing some good passing football and as a result Matty Burrough curled in an inch perfect cross for Josh Jays to find the net once again with a dramatic diving header on the stroke of 20 minutes (7-0).

The game was nearing the end and both teams looked like they were tiring, Pinhoe broke clear and the ball was crossed into the box for one of their players to slot into the net with 3 minutes remaining on the clock (7-1).

The game was very much one sided in favour of the home team but in truth Pinhoe had quite a few chances and if they had taken more of them it could have been a closer game.

Great performance from Heavitree with Man Of The Match going to Matty Burrough for his role in midfield and his fine strike in the first half.

Rock solid defence from Nathan, Sam and Joe.

Great midfield partnership from Josh Jays and Matty Burrough with Will and Francis on the wings.

And a fine performance from Liam and Daniel

 Solid keeping from Conner and Louie.

Culm Falcons beat a battling Brixington United 8-1 in a game switched  from a waterlogged Sampford Peverell to the slightly dryer Friends Provident pitch at Clyst St Mary. Oliver Elsworthy turned out to be the game's star individual firing a twelve minute hat-trick as Falcons led

6-1 at the break. The hosts never stopped battling and impressed with their enthusiasm and energy and, in left back Tom Cooke and goal keeper Jack England, they had two excellent performers. England was superb, pulling off a string of superb saves and his distribution with the ball was also exceptional. Falcons though reigned supreme as they displayed a clinical approach to their shooting with some fine goals. 

Mitch Dart (2), Jack Aldred, Tom Mortiboys and Sam Bird, completed the scoring, but it was young Elsworthy who emerged as the star of the show.

On a chilly Saturday morning Feniton and Stoke Hill kicked off and a hard fought first half saw Stoke Hill go into the break 2 nil up with goals from Edward Mullarkey and Connor Anderson.

The second half was a more one sided affair with hat-tricks then from Mark McIntosh, Harvey Newman and Josh Moore. Credit must be paid to goalkeeper Adam Cotgrove and the Stoke Hill back line for keeping their first clean sheet of the season.

Although all of the Stoke Hill players had outstanding games, man of the match goes to Josh Moore for some excellent wing play, not only scoring his hat-trick but creating several of the other goals too.

CULM Falcons goalkeeper Jordan Biss became the first Division Two

under-11 goal keeper to chalk up three clean sheets this season as his side scored four unanswered goals against visiting Heavitree who had notched up 45 goals in their previous seven outings!

Tom Mortiboys, the impressive Jack Aldred and Oliver Elsworthy fired Falcons into a 3-0 half time lead and Matty Leaney added a fourth in the second half. Biss was given excellent first-half protection by the back three of Oliver Shuster-Woods, Zac Hide and William Birley but was pressed into service to make two excellent second half saves.

Mitchell Dart and Oliver Elsworthy had fine games in the Falcons midfield. The Heavies goal keeper had a fine game and, after they had changed things around at the break, they played their part in an entertaining, and even second half and, had Biss not made a super save at 3-0 midwway through the secodn half the outcome may well have been different.
