Culm eagles travelled to their closest neighbours Hemyock to complete their 08/09 season fixtures with the ambition to claim themselves league winners. After last weeks close 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture, the Eagles found themselves playing a slightly diffrent format than what they are used to but the boys adapted and played impressively to clinch the title.

Daniel Marek was impressive in midfield with his never stop working attitude and Harry Jee played his role with admirable intelligence. The defence of Tyrone White, Daniel Conn and Luke Horne were as impressive as ever and handled anything Hemyock managed to throw their way allowing the more advanced players the comfort of playing their attacking style of football.

Cory Clench was particularly impressive as support man for James Brown up front and both were supplied amply from Will Horne and Dan Marek. Though posession was evenly contested The Eagles organised themselves so for long periods of the game the Hemyock boys found it hard to breach the Culm final 3rd. 

A very enjoyable game to complete the season and a fitting manner to win the league.
